About the evening
What happens when strangers gather around a table, each bringing a small piece of their local culture? On World Localization Day 2026, OpenFarm hosted a simple evening of coffee, food, and conversation in Ho Chi Minh City.
There were no keynote speakers, no startup pitches, and no formal presentations — just people sharing local food, local stories, and local experiences.
World Localization Day reminds us that strong communities begin locally. Behind every meal is a farmer. Behind every recipe is a family. Behind every ingredient is a story.
Bring a Coffee Story. Bring a Local Dish.
Everyone was encouraged to bring a favorite local drink, a homemade snack or specialty, and a story connected to a place, community, family recipe, or local producer. Together we filled a community table with flavors, memories, and conversations from different regions and cultures.

Welcome Coffee
- Grab a coffee, meet new people, and place your food contribution on the community table.
7:00 PM
Community Food Sharing
- Everyone is invited to introduce what they brought, where it comes from, and why it matters to them.
- No pressure — just a few minutes and a good story.
7:45 PM
Localization Conversations
- Small group discussions around local food systems, farming and sustainability, AI and local communities, building stronger neighborhoods, and thinking global while acting local.
8:30 PM
Open Networking
- Enjoy coffee, food, and conversations with farmers, creators, developers, students, entrepreneurs, and community builders.
What to bring
- A local snack or homemade dish
